First you need to create a Group and then add some Group members. Follow the steps described below to do this:

1. Tap on the "Settings" Icon in the lower right of the screen.

2. Tap on the yellow "+" button in the top right of the screen.

3. Give the Group a name e.g. "Math Class" then tap OK.

4. Tap on the Group you have just created and then the "+" button to add "Group Members".

5. Add names into the dialogue box, you can enter multiple names (up to 20 per Group) by seperating them with a "," (comma).

6. Tap the green "Play" button to randomly display the names in the Group.

Groups and Group members can be deleted by tapping on the yellow "-" button in the top right of the settings screen. A "X" button will appear next to the Group or Group member. Just tap on the "X" next to the Group or Group member you wish to delete.

In this "Free" version of the app you can create up to three groups and ech groups can have up to 20 members. 

The Pro version of "Random Name Selector" allows for unlimited Groups with an unlimited number of Group members in each.

Groups and Group member names can easily be edited by left swiping on the individual Group of Group member. You will see a red "Edit" button appear. Tap on this to edit the name. 

You can temporarily disable a Group member from being included in the selection by tapping on the switch alongside them in the Group member listing.

You can install Random Name Selector Starter on up to 5 different Apple devices. Groups and Group members can be backed up and saved across all devices by using a Free Dropbox account. There are instructions on how to do this else where in this section.

When adding members to a Group, it is possible to add multiple names by adding a "," (comma) between each name. e.g. Paul,James,Carol The "Free" (Starter) version of the app limits you to 3 groups with up to 20 members in each group.

We have added an "export" function, which makes use of a FREE Dropbox account. You export your existing Groups and Group members, purchase and download the "Pro" version of Random Name Selector from the app store and then "import" your existing Groups/Group Members.

The process for doing this is described in the "Settings / Export Groups / Group Members" section of the app.
